CPD ‐ Companhia Paulista de Desenvolvimento was created in February of 1992, by an initiative of a group of over 60 Brazilian entrepreneurs of a verity of sectors, willing to collaborate with the Public Administration, mobilizing private enterprise resources for projects that aimed at the implementation, recovery and expansion of basic infrastructure.
Pioneer in structuring projects and in the viability of partnerships between the public and the private sectors, CPD accumulates two decades of experience in a number of activities that encompass transportation, energy, sanitation, health, education, and technology.
In the context of the exhaustion of the investment capacity of the public sector and before the needs of modernization and expansion of the infrastructure and public services, in addition to reducing the role of public entities as economic agent, CPD has participated in a decisive way in major projects that involve the union of public and private efforts.
In this period, we have materialized vital projects driving development and generating employment and income, such as the Bolivia-Brazil Gas Pipeline, the Concessions of Highways in the State of São Paulo, the concessions of sewerage systems, public-private partnerships for the services of urban cleaning and concessions of direct actual use for cargo terminals and events centers.
